The standard registration fee is EUR 145 and includes:

  • Entry to the GROW 2019 academic program, personalised badge, lunches, coffee breaks, and entry to all social activities, such as welcome drinks on (September 22, 2019), drive to the conference dinner (September 25, 2019), and a hike. 

The standard registration closed on July 31, 2019.

The late registration fee is EUR 245 for registrations completed on or after 1 August 2019.

Conditions for Participants

These Terms & Conditions for participants apply to every person registering for the 9th Workshop on Graph Classes, Optimization and Width Parameters 2019 (GROW 2019), to be held in Vienna, Austria from September 23-26, 2019 (hereafter referred to as “the workshop”), organised by the Algorithms and Complexity Group at the TU Wien (hereafter referred to as “the workshop organisers”). These Terms and Conditions apply as an addition to the Eventbrite Terms of Service.

All references to a date or a deadline, mentioned in these terms and on other conference documents, refer to the Central European Time Zone (CET).


Conference Registration

The registration for GROW 2019 is managed through an external service provider named Eventbrite. The Eventbrite Terms of Service apply.

The registration fee includes entry to all workshop sessions and social events. It grants access to coffee breaks and warm lunches.

Accompanying persons are not allowed to participate in academic and social programme.

Parents/guardians of children agree to take full responsibility for them while at the workshop site or a networking event.


Cancellation Policy

Notice of cancellation (e.g. in case of sickness, lack of funding or any other personal reasons) must be made in writing by email or fax to the GROW 2019. The notification must include all relevant information regarding the bank account to which a possible refund may be remitted.

No refunds will be granted for unattended events or early termination of attendance, in case of cancellation of speakers, lack of space in the conference room or any other incidents during the workshop, which are beyond the control of the workshop organisers.


Liability

By registering to the GROW 2019 participants agree that neither the organising committee nor the TU Wien assume any liability whatsoever. Participants are requested to make their own arrangements for health and travel insurance. The conference fee does not include insurance.

The workshop organisers shall be held liable in the framework of a duty of care as a respectable businessman according to statutory provisions. The liability of the workshop organizers – for whatever legal reason – shall be limited to intent and gross negligence. The liability of commissioned service providers shall remain unaffected by this. The participants and accompanying persons shall take part in the conference at his/her own risk.


Letter of Invitation

Individuals requiring an official Letter of Invitation from the workshop organisers can request one.


Visa Requirements

It is the sole responsibility of the delegate to take care of his/her visa requirements. For information on the visa please visit this part of the website here.


Travel-health Insurance

As a part of a visa application, individuals must have travel-health insurance for the duration of their stay in the European Union. This insurance can be obtained from any approved insurer. Individuals need to check with the responsible embassy/consulate for a list of approved insurers available in their country.


Data Protection and Sharing of Contact Details

All personal data provided to the Organizer for registration will be treated as confidential. The data shall be used and stored for further processing and documentation purposes. The information will not be re-used for an incompatible purpose. Data shall be delivered to assigned service providers, as deemed necessary for the successful performance of the workshop.

The workshop organisers will collect and store all personal data for the preparation and execution of the GROW 2019. In order to facilitate border entry and visa applications, the GROW 2019 will share contact details of concerned participants with Austrian immigration authorities.

The workshop organizers periodically perform e-mailings to participants regarding activities at the conference or other communications, which may be of interest. Email contact details of delegates will not be passed on to third parties. Participants may opt out of these emailings at any time.


Crowd Notice and Video Release

Video footage and/or photos will be taken during GROW 2019 which may or may not include your recognizable image. Please be advised, by participating in GROW 2019, you agree to allow TU Wien to use the images in print, digital or web-based formats for promotional, sponsoring and archival purposes. This might include (but is not limited to), the right to use them in their printed and online publicity, social media, press releases and funding applications. If you do not wish to have us use your image, please notify the event organizer. A photo free zone will be made available.


Disputes

All agreements between the Organizer and the Participant and all disputes which may arise between the Organizer and the Participants shall be exclusively subject to Austrian law. Court of jurisdiction shall be Vienna, if not otherwise required by the Austrian Consumer Protection Act.
